Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Selector Go ("the App") handles information on your device, and confirms what we do — and, just as importantly, don't — collect.

Privacy-First Design

Selector Go is built with privacy as a starting principle, not an afterthought. The App does not collect, store, or share any personal information, and it does not require you to create an account to use any of its features.

1. No Account, No Personal Data Collection

Selector Go does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information in order to use the App. The "display name" you can optionally set in Settings is used only to personalize the greeting on your home screen, and it is stored locally on your device — it is never transmitted anywhere.

2. Everything Stays on Your Device

All of your data — events, countdowns, milestones, categories, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. None of it is sent to us, to any server we operate, or to any third party. The App functions entirely offline and does not require an internet connection for any core feature.

3. No Third-Party Services, Analytics, or Ads

Selector Go does not connect to external servers, advertising networks, or analytics platforms. We do not use tracking SDKs, and we do not build a profile of how you use the App. There is nothing in the App observing your usage on our behalf.

4. Reminders and Notifications

If you turn Reminders on in Settings, the App schedules local notifications directly on your device for the events you choose, a configurable number of days ahead of the target date. These reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device through your phone's own notification system — no reminder data is sent to us or to any push notification service. Notification permission is requested only at the moment you first turn a reminder on, not automatically at launch.

5. Share as a Card

When you use the "Share" feature, Selector Go renders an image of your countdown or milestone locally on your device and hands it to your phone's native share sheet. You choose where that image goes (for example, a messaging app). Selector Go itself does not see, store, or transmit that image — the share happens entirely through your device's own sharing system.

6. In-App Legal Pages

The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service links inside the App's Settings open this website (selectorgo.com) in an in-app viewer. Loading these pages works like visiting any website and may use your device's standard internet connection; we do not collect any additional information about you as a result of viewing these pages inside the App. See our Cookie Policy for details about this website specifically.

7. Children's Privacy

Selector Go is designed to be safe and appropriate for a general audience, including users aged 13 and older. Because the App does not collect personal information from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Control Over Your Data

Because all data lives locally on your device, you are always in full control of it. Deleting an event, category, or setting inside the App removes it immediately. Uninstalling the App removes all of its locally stored data from your device (subject to your device's own backup behavior, which we do not control).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
